There are so many things for Muva to do in a day, but it must get done. We don’t have the luxury of excuses in Muvahood so why do we accept excuses when it comes to our lack of personal care of self. Not Cool. Here’s a list of 10 quick and easy healthy living habits for us muvas that will assist in the effort to live a healthier lifestyle.
Oil Pulling. Using coconut oil as a mouth wash helps to draw out all of the toxins not just in your mouth but in your body. It also improves clarity of your skin whitens teeth and stop bleeding gums. Keep a mason jar of coconut oil in your bathroom next to your toothbrush and toothpaste to make this extremely simple.
Cook Clean. You can start by replacing butter with Coconut oil or organic Olive oil which is filled with natural fats that are healthier for you.
Go to Sleep Early and Wake Up Earlier. You will be more well rested for the day ahead and have more time for productivity.
In Home Workouts. Sometimes packing up the kids just to go anywhere is so time consuming. Work out at home instead with or without workout equipment. Use an old towel you don’t mind placing on the floor for sit ups and the like.
Water Pitcher. Have at least 1 water pitcher in the fridge and make it your goal to drink the whole pitcher each day to make sure you’re getting a lot of water for the day. Fill it up each night for a fresh start in the morning. To sky rocket your health journey have two pitchers, one used for an effective recipe of detox water.
Meal Prep. This can be a time saver when it is all said and done. While the task may feel daunting to get done initially its so worth it when you don’t have to cook anything for the next 4 to 7 days.
Switch to Cleaner Cleaning. Meaning skip out on the purchases of cleaning products filled with harmful chemicals for you and your babies, and switch to healthier options for the home and everyone in it. A good place to start is your farmers market. Some good brands include Mrs. Meyer’s, BoulderClean, Seventh Generation, homesolv, ECOS and ecover zero to name a few. Essential oils are also a very good clean route to take for healthier living while cleaning.
Cleaner Hygiene and Beauty Regimen. We should not only care about what we put inside our bodies but what we put on top of it as well. Soaps, deodarant, tampons, makeup, etc.
Shop Locally. The further your food has to travel the more chemicals are used to sustain its freshness. Chemicals that are not good for you. Do you really want to eat meat and veggies that have traveled in the back of somebody’s truck for weeks maybe or would you prefer that it was sourced locally with a much less distance traveled til it reached your plate?
Speak Beautifully. To and about yourself. This will eventually have a great impact on the value and quality of life you live each and everyday allowing you to make even more healthier lifestyle choices. Eventually, you will become more courageous in seeking your passions allowing yourself to walk in your full purpose with no apologies.
